Qi Hong (Sai Koh) was born in 1966, in Qiqihar of
Heilongjiang Province. Later Qi Hong along with his parents
moved to Tokyo, Japan in 1985. Since Qi Hong was 10 years old, he studied freehand brush work style Chinese painting with his father (Mr. Qi Mengzhang), His obvious talent and mastery of brush painting techniques won him the prize of art exhibition in boyhood in China. He also demonstrated a great interesting and talent on the seal engraving. Exploring and enjoying the freehand brush work style Chinese painting, calligraphy, and seal engraving art world, Qi Hong also obtained a great success on his academy. In addition to master Chinese, English and Japanese languages fluently, he received his PhD degree at Ktasato University for Pharmacy, in Japan. At age 16, Qi Hong has established his unique semi-seal script style of freehand style engravings by fusing his father, Mr. Qi Mengzhang's brush painting style. In Recent years, his engraving works have attracted the attentions of many artists and politicians.
